Design Philosophy
The more I learn about design, the more I am convinced in its power to make the world a more exciting and better place. I think that being taught a design thinking skillset gives all designers a unique perspective on the world. I love that I am always questioning 'why things are the way they are', and as a result, I feel that I have a better understanding of myself and the world around me. The 'goodness' of Industrial Design lies in its ability to solve complex user-centred problems in empathetic and creative ways, with an ultimate view to make peoples lives better. Plus the idea of having a product mass-produced and enjoyed by users is a pretty cool prospect right!
I am an enthusiastic Industrial Designer that enjoys the design process from start-to-finish. Coming from a background in health has given me unique perspective towards human-centred design and allows me to approach solving complex design problems in a unique manner. I am a firm believer that design can better human lives and I aspire that my future design contributions will work towards this goal.
I like to keep up to date with emerging design, manufacturing, technology trends and am always looking for inspiration in the world around me. My specific interests currently lie in Medical, Furniture and Optical design.
